MANTA RAY IDENTIFICATION

Every manta ray has a unique pattern of shapes on their tummy, just like a finger-print. These patterns are used to identify individuals and allow us to determine population dynamics.

If you capture a picture or a video of a manta rays belly, send it to us for identification!

Your submission will contribute to the knowledge and understanding of the local manta ray population. This information will ensure the correct conservation measures are taken to protect this population into the future.


If your sighting is a new manta not already on our database, you get the privilege of naming it!
